A Deeper Dreed, the melodic metal from Suffolk (UK), draw influence from the roots of heavy metal legends such as Iron Maiden and Metallica and mix with modern hints from the likes of Trivium, System of a Down and Disturbed.
During a period when the live metal scene in England is going through a particularly difficult time, the band started as a covers band and still performs as Maidallica for extra cash / funds / practise / beer / women.
However since their formation in early 2010, the band have quickly gained a reputation for memorable live performances earning them several summer festival headlines and main supports with ‘Voodoo Six’, ‘Gunslinger’, ‘Die-So-Fluid’, and Sweden’s chart-topping ‘Dead by April’.
Four months after forming, the band demoed their first 5 original tracks by themselves in a friend’s back garden studio. Admittedly the tracks were recorded on a shoe-string budget (mostly in single takes) and the songs (and the band themselves) were very much in their infancy. However, A.D.D. were eager to get the tracks, and of course, their name out there. Thus by the end of November 2010 with the masterful assistance of producer Mark Mynett, the band released their debut EP ‘Masquerade’.
Later released via their own record label ‘ADR Independent Records’ their taster EP ‘Masquerade’ was distributed to major online retailers worldwide.
Reviewers have noted the varied influences and are split on how to describe the music. Be it packed with plenty of grooves, an array of harmonies coupled with some good old fashioned head-banging, or just a collage of ideas that need some polishing; love it or hate it A.D.D. simply wants to get their tracks and their high-energy performance out on the road.
Currently the band are writing more original tracks and raising funds to return to the studio in 2012. A.D.D. will show you where that snapshot of their original ideas and potential in ‘Masquerade’ will lead and invite you to come on that journey with them.
This is A Deeper Dreed.
