A Dying Regime is a 5 piece Punk/Metal band hailing from Orlando, Fl. With an emphasis on musicianship, creative song writing and freedom of expression, the group is currently in the process of creating their first studio album, which is to be released March 2,2012.
A Dying Regime originally formed in 2006, when bassist Eric Emmons and Tony Rage were introduced to each other by Dan Palmer of Death By Stereo. After a practice with Tony and long time friend Mike on drums, the trio decided to make additions to the lineup. Mike brought on former band mate and singer Dane Hagen. Additionally, after a failed audition for Limp Bizkit, reform street fighter Pedro (El Guapo) Recio was brought in to solidify the lineup. After a year of casual playing and writing, the group went on hiatus for 3 years while Mike relocated to NY to pursue other ambitions. During this time, each member pursued other musical interests. After Mike returned from NY, the group was asked to perform at a benefit show for a close friend who had been in a terrible automobile accident. While the group rehearsed for the show, each band member concluded that A Dying Regime never flourished to what it could have been, and there was unfinished business.
