No Sad Tomorrow was formed in February of 2010. The current members are Donald O’Keefe-Guitar/Vocals, Jake McAdoo-Drums and Mark Parker-Bass. Donald has been writing and playing his own music since 2005. From 2005-2008 influenced by Cold Play, Green Day, Beatles, George Harrison and Oasis. Donald was playing his own originally acoustic and electric guitar songs at coffee houses and bars. Then in October of 2008 during his first year at college, he decided to form a band. His friend Jake McAdoo was interested in playing drums and wanted to teach himself. Also Donald's girlfriend was interested in learning the bass. With Donald's three years of music experience, they formed a band named My Cold System. They practiced a few songs in a spare room at his father's office and the played out once or twice. The band broke up early 2009. Donald continued to play out at coffee houses and bars hoping to find new band members. Then in October of 2009, Mark Parker, Donald's fathers friend, offered to practice and jam with Donald. Mark played both the bass and the drums, while Donnie sang and played both lead and rhythm. Mark has played in many bands in his past and knew what he was doing. He had a studio in his house. Donald was always influenced by Green Day, but in early 2008, Donald discovered Bullet for my Valentine. This new music was found to become his favorite band and favorite music. Donald and Mark got together and recorded 9 songs, some punk and some metal. Donald and Mark played out a few times and decided they needed a drummer, Jake was ready to put the time in to improve on his talent. In February of 2010 they invited him over to their studio and played around with some of the songs, Jake fit in right away. They practiced for about a month and played out once. In March of 2010, Donald had learned that his cousin Eddy knew how to play guitar. Donald invited Eddy to there studio and played around with some songs and Eddy was the new rhythm guitar player. With another guitar, life was easier for the band and never sounded better. Most of the band lives in Medina, New York which is famous for its sandstone. So they decided to name the band Sandstone. They recorded more songs and played at a few venues around Rochester and Buffalo, New York, but in early July 2010, Eddy stopped showing up to practice and was gone from the band. From then to late September, they had to work around the songs they created now with only one guitar player. In late September, Donald learned of a company named After Dark Events out of Buffalo from another local band. Donald called them and is now playing payed shows. On October 29th, 2010, they played their first real big show at Xtreme Wheels and sold the most tickets and they were the headliner band. In early November, the group agreed to change the name of the band to “No Sad Tomorrow.” No Sad Tomorrow is a name of one of their songs, and it suited the type of music they were playing. Donald's quote on changing the band name “Sandstone is something, No Sad Tomorrow is nothing. I want to make No Sad Tomorrow into something”. The in early April 2011, Michael Johnson joined the band as the 3rd guitarist. Now they are working hard to become they next big band
