The Chalupas have been performing and recording on and off since 2001. Hailing from the eastern Twin Cities the band has played at venues ranging from garage parties to large festivals. The band has not recorded an album since 2005 due to a string of random adventures and side projects. There is talk though of their impending return in the coming months.
