God I hate touring, being cramped in a Russian-made Ford minivan with ten loud drunks and one moody straight edger that claims that just because he called shotgun the day before he gets to ride in front the whole 14 hours there and back. And I fucking hate Russian roads, more pothole than asphalt, and the fact that it's still winter in April. And the fact that, as a rule, for Russian bands, once you get into town you're left to your own devices to scavenge for food and drink. But then you get to the club and start playing. Complete strangers know all the words to your songs, and you trust them enough to catch you when you jump ass first from the stage. You get bruised and bloodied up in the pit, and you get to play with and meet rad bands and people.
