A long time ago in a galaxy... Hang on. That's not quite right. But I guess the reference holds up regardless. Some of you may have noticed a lack of ChinFin prowess as of late; it has been a while since anything super-special-awesome happened to us rag-tag bunch of rebels. I'm not gonna lie to you all, the gigs haven't entirely been landing themselves in our laps. Add to this the fact that we haven't had a proper bass player in quite a while and one might get the impression we were becoming about as useless as Luke Skywalker in the end of Episode V.

But Luke Skywalker came back.

And by that analogy, it's time for Chasing Infinity Episode VI.

But what's new I hear you all asking? Well, where do I begin? How about with the fact that we have been creating new material over the summer that packs more punch than one of Captain Falcon's signature moves? Or that we will be promptly returning to the full line up that gives those songs the renditions they deserve?

And I haven't even mentioned the gigs yet. For those who want to come and join in with our super-special-awesome brand of fun, you may want to consider coming to any of these:

13th October: Barcelona Bar, Renshaw Street
15th October: Bier Keller, Stanley Street
22nd October: Static Gallery, Roscoe Lane
13th November: Cavern Club, Mathew Street

Yeah, that is the Cavern, possibly Liverpool's most iconic venue. All you gigging veterans who are reading this will probably tell me not to get so excited, but I'm personally very pleased to be able to finally lay claim to having played in such a venue.

'Alright Rob, stop getting so excited. I can't sit here ALL day and be continuously amused by your humour inducing demeanor!'

...Or at least that's (albeit probably very loosely) the response I'm sure to get if I continue on any further. So I'm going curtail myself here. Well, not until I've made it crystal clear that I'm absolutely running ChinFin firmware v.2.0, and I can tell already it's making the system software run as smooth as ever. So, if I may be so bold as to make a request, it's that I see as many of you as possible who've read this to make an effort to come to any number of our gigs. Because I want you to join me in going over the limit, raising my fist at whatever challenge presents itself, and giving it a full-blown Captain Falcon-esque gesture to give me everything it's got, because you know what, right?

I like a challenge.

Hey Ska bands just a reminder to please send your music to crosstowncollision@yahoo.com before December. Any bands interested in being on the comp or would like more info please email us.

We have been taking and starting the master mix of the cd with the bands we have already received. Please keep spreading the word and get your bands songs to us. this Ska comp is going to be a huge unsigned ska band movement across the U.S. and the world...

bands that are already on the comp, to new bands coming on, to fans of ska music and unsigned artists the release of this compilation will be released Jan 2012!! feel free to start leaking out the release to everyone and any big time permoting is welcome :)
