I feel powerful. And not just because I apparently have predicted how I feel after last night with a song title I wrote just as the band was in its early stages. Doesn't really feel like two years ago now I think about it...

So what happened last night I hear you all asking of me? Chasing Infinity played the Cavern Club, that legendary Liverpool venue that has been home to many a great artist in the past, and more than likely will be for the future also (lol imagine if that was us). 'Alright Rob, don't get big-headed!' Fair play, but I know for me it was a pretty big deal, and I'm fully confident that it was for the other ChinFins too. Yeah, our pictures may not be framed and put on the walls next to Paul McCartney and the likes, but the memory for the time being is more than enough for me.

So that's the aspirations part.

The realisations bit comes from knowing things. Like just how much I enjoy this at times, both in terms of the playing and being around the three other most awesome people I know. This is all without mentioning the people who genuinely enjoy coming to see us as well. Part of what made my night yesterday evening was being told by one particular gentleman before going on-stage that he was actually excited to see us play. I love doing what I do regardless, but things like that augment that desire just that little bit more.

And there's your realisations!

So what's next? More gigs I would imagine... But we've personally got our sights set on getting some really nice recordings done fairly soon, so watch this space for upcoming audible treats in the near future.

Anyway, I best get off and practice these songs for the student radio tomorrow hadn't I?. Gotta love those guys at BandSoc FM. I'm sure you're all about finished listening to my (admittedly rare bout) of over-sentimentality anyway. Someone fetch me a bucket.
